Grantee Spotlight: The Restoration House
The Restoration House (TRH) provides low-income, mother-led families with supportive housing, family advocacy, ally teams, and youth development to break the cycle of poverty. TRH has developed The Village, a 24 unit mixed-income restorative community in West Knoxville. Their values are restoration, community, collaboration, dignity, and reciprocity. They feel privileged to join unbelievably strong, determined families on their journey toward wholeness and restoration. The Restoration House is honored to be apart of the WFET network, placing a strong value on women and girls accessing post-secondary education. TRH provides scholarships and currently has moms in six different post-secondary educational programs including at UTK, Johnson University, TCAT, Roane State, Pellissippi and more. It is their goal to impact 150 families and 300 children over the next ten years.
