WFET Welcomes New Board Members



Kati Blalock is a Legacy Member of the Women’s Fund of East Tennessee. Kati is an owner of Sevier Blumen, a flower farm that grows specialty cut flowers. She received a degree in Political Science and a master’s degree in Urban and Regional Planning from the University of Tennessee. She worked for a time at TVA and then in the private sector in solid and hazardous waste management. Kati returned to UT to study Plant Sciences, her first love, part-time over ten years. She and husband, Jim are owners in Blalock Construction, community leaders in Sevierville and the East TN Region and have five daughters.






Jan Brown provides strategic direction for TVA’s Ethics and Compliance obligation management functions. She is responsible for overseeing a team of professionals accountable for providing ethics and compliance guidance to TVA’s Board of Directors, executives, employees, retirees, and external stakeholders; ensuring TVA complies with the federal ethics rules, regulations, and laws; supervising investigations of ethical misconduct; managing the compliance register of TVA’s legal obligations; and overseeing the establishment of TVA’s Export Control program. As the Alternate Designated Agency Ethics Official (DAEO), Brown serves as an advisor to TVA’s General Counsel and DAEO on issues related to fostering adherence to ethical standards of conduct. Prior to joining TVA, Brown taught Mathematics at the University of Tennessee, Knoxville and Pellissippi State Technical Community College. Jan is a graduate of Leadership Knoxville. A native of Memphis, TN, Brown and her husband, Adolphus, reside in Knoxville with their son, Adolphus Josiah (A.J.) and dog, Smooches.


Kathy Mack is a member of the Women’s Fund of East Tennessee Network. She is an energetic, self-motivated professional that draws from her life story and experiences to encourage and inspire others. She received her bachelor’s degree from the University of Tennessee: Knoxville with a focus in Psychology and Health. Over the last decade she has been effective in growing positive relationships with clients, colleagues, and community organizations. She is an active community leader who is currently serving as the City of Knoxville’s Community Engagement Manager, where her passion is to help build successful life outcomes for youth.
